April 2017 Design Trends:
Nothing says Spring like a serene white room with subtle hints of colour! White chic is a trend that will continue throughout Spring/Summer and creates a charming peaceful feel to your interior. This trend works particularly well in bedrooms, an all-white bedroom not only looks super stylish but also creates a tranquil feel creating the perfect environment to relax and unwind. A pure white space can sometimes come across as clinical however white chic furniture pieces have a subtle twist in the fact that they offer subtle shabby chic distressing or elegant ornate detailing. Grey furniture pieces are a staple choice for any room and can be used alongside other decorative accessories to create a stunning focal point. Grey also works exceptionally well with blue and green perfect pastel colours for the season. Select a grey console table for your hallway or a grey chest of drawers for your bedroom to give a fresh, Spring look. For more subtle ways to work grey into your home think candle lanterns, cushions and table lamps with washed grey effect bases offering a wonderful shabby chic feel.

Often a room that gets overlooked the entrance hallway is definitely a space worth focusing on especially when it comes to Spring. If you benefit from windows in your hallway you can take full advantage of the longer days with the beautiful natural daylight. Console tables are a great way to create a statement in your hallway as they are exceptionally versatile and can be used alongside other items to create a wonderful look. The style you choose doesn’t have to be lavish often a simple designs works best allowing you to build it with other decorative accessories such as a mirror or lamp. If you already have a console table in your hallway why not try adding a new table lamp or candle lantern giving your entrance hallway a new lease of life.
