November 2017 Design Trends:
Statement lighting can be interpreted in many ways such as extravagant chandeliers to oversized ceiling lights. Many interior designers are also experimenting with the placement of lights such as chandeliers above the bath or pendant lights suspended above a bedside table. This trend offers flexibility and if executed correctly can help to create an impressive feature in your home. For Autumn Winter we’re focusing on rustic table lamps such as our antler and stag designs. These unique pieces offer gorgeous distressed detailing and would fit perfectly into any modern vintage décor. Chandeliers also play a key role in this trend as they have the ability to instantly add an air of opulence and glamour to any room. To create a wow factor statement opt to place a chandelier in any entrance hallway or above your dining table.
Decorative Ornate Designs:
There is something rather luxurious about an ornate furniture piece. Their heavily ornate design and decorative flair makes them the perfect choice for any room. Ideal for Autumn Winter these pieces will add warmth and style to your home creating a relaxing environment. If you’re looking to create the wow factor an ornate mirror will take your living space to the next level of glamour and sophistication as well as helping to reflect light. Alternatively for something more subtle, a bedside table with ornate carvings would add that touch of elegance, enhancing the overall feel of you room.
Shades of Grey:
This year’s neutral colour palette comes in the form of Winter morning greys. Grey has the ability to create a calming, peaceful feel to any room its featured making it the perfect choice for living rooms and bedrooms. Anything from silver greys to light greys and everything in between would work exceptionally well with this trend and is perfect as we start to think of Christmas decorating. Grey blends into just about any interior trend from Scandi to Mid Century modern and even minimalist. A bedside table, table lamp or soft furnishing such as cushions and throws are great ways to introduce this look into your home.
